Inner Light Counseling and Holistic Center started as a private practice. As the private practice grew, I made a decision to hire several therapists and begin a “Center” where the community and the surrounding counties could find a “different”, more encompassing counseling agency that would meet the needs of the public in a stronger way and greater variety of ways. For example, people who had struggled for years with depression, panic attacks, anxiety, relationship issues, and etc. without much growth with previous therapists started seeing greater results because of the various “therapeutic techniques” used at the Center.

As someone who was born the desire to help others and inbred with the pursuit of my own personal emotional, mental and spiritual growth, I have tried and tested every therapeutic technique and modality offered at Inner Light Counseling and Holistic Center as a therapist and a client.Because each person is an individual with their own unique personalities, needs and preferences, we can tailor your treatment to meet those specific needs because of the large number of staff with their own personalities and because of the large number of techniques and services we offer. Each technique is designed to help specific issues and we often use a combination of traditional talk therapy and several of the holistic techniques outlined in the “technique section” of this web site.

As doctors started referring to us, we began seeing clients who were suffering tremendous physical pain. Thus, in conjunction with our psychotherapeutic techniques, we added Reiki and Energy Medicine and Massage.

We continued to grow and there was a need to move to a larger setting. With no effort, the perfect place became available. We moved into a house with an added office extension on East Main St. close to the hospital and easily accessible to the surrounding towns and counties. The house provides a warm, homey feeling. Our waiting room is actually the living room of the house. Soft music is playing for your relaxation while you are waiting for your appointment. (should you arrive early, we make it our intention not to keep our clients waiting beyond their appointment time, unless there is an emergency,)

In short, because we believe in healing the “Whole” person, we have provided a variety of services and therapeutic and holistic techniques to meet almost all your needs for your Body, Mind and Spirit. We want your healing to be complete and we want you to feel that you are welcomed, cared about in a relaxed, peaceful setting.
